Legal
Terms of Service
These terms govern your use of Salam Jannah. By creating an account you agree to them.
This document is a working draft pending legal review for Malaysia (PDPA) and Indonesia (UU PDP). It is not yet the binding version.

01Who may use Salam Jannah
You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter a contract. One account per person. You may not use Salam Jannah if we have previously removed your account, or if the law where you live prohibits it. Accounts we believe belong to a minor are removed without notice.
02Your account
Keep your password private and your details accurate. You are responsible for what happens on your account. Tell us immediately if you think someone else has access to it. We verify email addresses, and members may optionally verify their identity with a selfie.
03How you must behave
Follow the community guidelines. In short: be sincere, be honest, respect a no, respect modesty choices, keep private things private, and never harass, defraud, solicit or abuse anyone. Do not impersonate another person, scrape the service, or use it to advertise without our written agreement.
04What you post
You keep ownership of your photos, bio and messages. You give us a limited licence to host and display them so the service can work — nothing more. We may remove content that breaks these terms or the guidelines, and photos pass through moderation before they appear.
05Payments, subscriptions and SalamCoin
Subscriptions renew monthly until cancelled; you may cancel at any time from Settings and keep access until the paid period ends. SalamCoin is an in-app balance only: it is not a currency, not a cryptocurrency, has no cash value, cannot be transferred out or withdrawn, and is non-refundable except where the law requires or where we have stated an automatic refund applies. Prices are shown in Malaysian ringgit or Indonesian rupiah and may change with notice.
06Ask Ustaz consultations
Scholars answer in their own personal capacity. Salam Jannah is not a religious authority, does not issue fatwa, and does not endorse or take responsibility for any individual answer. A consultation is a private conversation, not professional legal, medical or financial advice. If a scholar does not respond within 48 hours, the consultation is refunded automatically.
07The vendor marketplace
Vendors are independent businesses, not our employees or agents. Any booking is a contract between you and that vendor. We review vendors before approving a listing and we handle the deposit, but we are not a party to the wedding services themselves. Disputes should be raised with us and with the vendor.
08Suspension and removal
We may suspend or remove an account that breaks these terms, the guidelines, or the law — or where we reasonably believe it is necessary to protect other members. You may delete your account at any time from Settings. Serious cases involving minors, threats or fraud are removed immediately and reported where required.
09What we do and do not promise
We work hard to keep the service running and safe, but we cannot guarantee it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any member is who they claim to be even when verified. Meet safely: in public, and tell someone where you are going. To the extent the law allows, our liability is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.
10Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. If a change is material we will tell you in the app and by email before it takes effect. Continuing to use Salam Jannah after that means you accept the new version.
11Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia. Nothing here removes a right you have under the consumer law of the country where you live.
